Period.

Period. was my third year university project.

At this time the government had not removed the tampon tax and it was estimated that over 137,000 children across the UK had missed school days due to period poverty.*

I created the idea of Period. - a charity that would raise awareness of period poverty and aim to abolish the taboo associated with periods. I created packaging for a line of sanitary products that could be sold in stores like supermarkets, drug stores and clothes shops. They would be sold in packs of two and the consumer would be encouraged to keep one and donate the other. The consumer could easily place the ‘donate me’ box of sanitary products into the Foodbank on the way out the shop for those affected by period poverty. Each box had a fresh, ilustrative design and all the information on it about why and how to donate.

Everyone should have access to sanitary products. Period.
